Timothy and Joshua

Tiny Timothy is such a sick little guy. He is unable to eat by mouth because his breathing is so bad, so he has a feeding tube running through his nose to his stomach. Timothy also needs heart surgery, so please pray that he is able to get this soon. As you can see from the picture, he is a handsome little guy. His hair is thick and very black, and his are so dark and mysterious.  Though he is tiny, he has a strong set of lungs, but his smile just melts our hearts!!
Joshua was also very sick when he came to Morning Star, but he is growing in to a big, strong guy!! He is 16 months old, and since coming to this home, has had heart surgery, and surgery/casting for club feet, He still has to wear foot braces while he sleeps, but he does NOT like them!! Because of the club feet his walking has come slowly, but he crawls like mad, and is starting to pull himself up on the furniture. He is the most pleasant, easy going little fellow with a beautiful smile underneath that pacifier! We received word a few days ago that Joshua has been chosen by a family, and once the paperwork is complete he will be adopted! This is such good news for him!
Carol has been sleeping in Timothy and Joshua's room, and she is just falling in love with these little guys!! Please pray that the Lord strengthens her, especially during those long, difficult nights!

  1. Hi Angie & Allison: Thanks for sharing your precious stories with us! We are thoroughly enjoying getting to know all the beautiful children you are caring for and updates on how your trip is going. It's heartwarming to hear how these children give so much joy to those caring for them when they have so many trials and difficulties in their young lives. Praise God for the families that have decided to adopt! Be assured of our prayers for you, the children and the other workers. Lots of love, Margaret & Steve

  2. Hello, We are Tim & Francine Verbeke, Joshua's mom & dad. We have approval to adopt him & have loved reading about him. We can never get enough information. In his file it says he turned 1 on February 2, 2012, but we knew that was an incorrect date just by looking at him. Hopefully we will learn his actual date of birth when we travel, but it doesn't matter, he's our son. Thank you for loving on him, we are so blessed he is at Morning Star. You can follow our journey to him at www.neveranemptynest.blogspot.com. We are going to name him Zander Joseph-Zijian
